On a beautiful spring weekend, I visited Broken Bow Brewery in Tuckahoe to find out more about this wonderful family-owned business. I was immediately greeted by mom Kathy LaMothe, and sisters Kasey Schwartz and Kristen Stone … all with identically-beautiful smiles and genuine family warmth.

Farm-to-Fork Perfection

Heritage 147 — the inspiration of co-chef’s Alissa Svorka and Richard Perez — snatched up the perfect location in Larchmont after the previous restaurant closed down during the pandemic. Queens was their original destination. Thankfully that did not work out.

Larchmont's Destination Eatery . . . The Grange

Three good friends of almost 20 years – Lisa Samson, Lisa Moskow and Lisa Chase – are celebrating the first anniversary of the opening of their smart and quite delicious eatery in the heart of Larchmont – The Grange. All three women originally met while their 1-year-olds were in a Mommy and Me class almost 17 years ago.

Spring has arrived and with it brings a rebirth of fresh, local ingredients that Executive Chef, Tahiz Gonzalez of Nonna Carola Italian Ristorante in Mamaroneck can’t wait to get her hands on. The restaurant recently held their grand re-opening after the second closing in December 2020 due to the pandemic, introducing a new seasonal menu, farm-to-table cuisine, focusing on locally sourced ingredients and beverages.
